As well as tasty hog roasts the hog roasting company also provide an outside catering BBQ service, in this case a budget project for a local community event in Saltaire near Bradford, providing a section of marinated chicken with sausages and burger using our chilled salad bar with a diverse selection of tasty sauces.
The weather held out nicely and the BBQ event was a real success bringing residents out to discuss local matters in a comfortable environment.
The chilled salad bar is always well received so the guests can personalize their meal.

In the midst of the spring showers some could say that we were up against it last weekend where there was rain of tropical proportions. It literally rained until the cows came home in the field behind the outside catering event location in Baildon, near Shipley in Bradford. They were super cute and very interested in us! 🙂
Fortunately due to good preparation and equipment provided by ourselves and our clients this meant that the event could go on undisturbed. We use a slightly larger than usual gazebo to cook and serve our hog roast from which enable guests to be able to stand underneath it while they are being served their tasty free range hog roast sandwiches.
Preparing bread into nice soft white baps from the local master baker to serve the hog roast sandwiches in which had been baked that morning.
Baildon is a village near Shipley and Saltaire which comes under the Bradford area of West Yorkshire where we are based close to. From here we specialise in outside catering for the Leeds, Bradford, Skipton, Ilkley, Otley and surrounding Yorkshire areas.
Setting up for a 50th garden party in Baildon, Bradford, West Yorkshire where we provided a tasty free range Hog Roast. The pig was hand picked form a local farm in East Yorkshire for this event and the crackling was just delicious.
So we did not disturb the guests after serving we left the heavy equipment in Baildon so we didn’t interrupt the party and collected it the next day. We try and be as considerate as possible depending on the location to help the events go as smooth as possible.
It was actually Saltaire festival this weekend which is just down the road from Baildon, so we called in there on Sunday afternoon after picking our equipment up which was good fun.
It was a super sunny hot day for the BBQ next to Roberts park between Saltaire and Baildon in Bradford where we provided catering in the form of tasty burgers with fresh side salad, onions, relish and gurkins on ice, sausages and marinated chicken wings.
Chilled salad bar for the BBQ burgers including lettuce, onion, tomato, gurkins, salsa relish, sweetcorn relish and jalepenos.
It was a community & family event in order to attract local people and take their views on what should be done with the land just upriver from Roberts park and the surrounding area.
Our basic package of burgers, sausages and marinated chicken wings was really well received. We also offer bespoke extra’s such as marinated kebabs, lamb chops and steak along with a selection of tasty side salads, hot roast baby potatoes in sea salt and rosemary plus canapes to nibble on before, during and after the BBQ or Hog Roast.
Saltaire is a historic village in Bradford on the river Aire which runs all the way from past Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales, through Silsden, Steeton, Keighley and Bingley then on to Shipley and eventually in to Leeds. We have an 18th birthday party in Leeds next month which we are all looking forwards to as it sounds like lots of fun. Following investment and redevelopment it has become an interesting and quality place to live and visit based around the Saltaire Mill in the center of the village.
A lovely time was had by all at the birthday party where our tasty Hog Roast and sides went hand in hand with the guests at the wonderful location.
The outside catering consisted of a delicious spread supplied by The Hog Roasting Company which included freshly cooked free range pork from our local farm supplier in Yorkshire, cherries and dates wrapped in bacon and then baled in the oven, along with a selection of salads.
Cherries and Dates wrapped in bacon and then baked in the oven are always well received by guests of The Hog Roasting Company.
The free range pork was served in sandwiches at the guests request but there was also platters of meat presented on the table so that guests could help them selves to freshly cooked pork with salads and french bread if they preferred.

Over the road from the site at the bunk barn in Horton in Ribblesdale, just up the road from Settle and along the A65 from Skipton our Hog Roast was set up over the road from the lovely little church with had Pennyghent hovering in the background.
The base for The Hog Roasting Company is near Saltaire on the edge of Bradford and near to the border of Leeds which is a great location to provide hog roast hire for the surrounding area.
The lightening wasn’t a good sign across the Leeds Liverpool canal above Thackley when we were on the way to set up our gazebo on Saturday afternoon in Saltaire.
Other than that the event went down a treat, we filled some bellies with tasty free range pork and the venue had a spacious indoor area where lovely local real ales were rapidly being consumed.
Usually we always cook the pig on site but due to the horrendous weather on this occasion we had to make an exeption to the rule and cook the pig prior to the event and take it down hot, although this wasn’t too much of an issue as we are based within a 5 minute drive of where this Hog Roast event was being held in between Saltaire and Shipley, near Bingley in West Yorkshire.
The reason we do not like this method is that if you are too far away and the pig cools en-route, then is heated up again any leftovers can not be warmed up the next day by the clients or guests as this could raise a health concern.
Anyway thanks again for making us so welcome and all the generous & nice comments that you and your guests made considering the extreme circumstances.
We’re looking forwards to cooking up another tasty Hog at Saltaire near Shipley in Bradford soon. The free range pig has been hand selected from the farm and will provide succulent and tasty local meat for the Hog Roast.
Saltaire is where we live and are based and provides an interesting and historic place to live, visit or have a tasty hog roast catering event from The Hog Roasting Company.
The old village centre is largely based around a big old mill which is steeped in history and has been converted into quality art, book, home and antique shops along with a restaurant, plus a mountain bike shop too.
The Leeds Liverpool canal runs through Saltaire and Shipley where along it’s paths we have also had the pleasure of providing lots of Hog Roast Hire from Leeds, Kirkstall, Rodley, Apperley Bridge, Shipley, Saltaire, Bingley and Bingley 5 rise locks, Keighley, Skipton, Silsden, Gargrave and beyond into the Yorkshire Dales which is a popular & successful area for us.
If you live along the canal or in the surrounding area and are considering an event then please do not hesitate to contact us on 07974 448217 or emailing email@example.com
There was a real ho down in Apperley bridge at the marina last month near Rawdon in Leeds for a special birthday party when we supplied a huge Hog Roast for 150 sandwiches from our base down the road in Saltaire, Bradford. Sheets of crackling put the crowds on while the meat was been prepared for the sandwiches.
The large marquee saved the day as the Yorkshire “summer” wind and rain unsuccessfully did it’s best to dampen spirits at what turned out to be a great party.
Especially for the occasion we flew our not so glamorous hick boy assistant Jessie in to fit in with the theme of the party.
And to top off the themed event we supplied an choice of Northern and Central American sauces for the more adventurous / brave! The Hog Roasting Company always enjoy buying and sharing delicious and interesting sauces from when we are out and about on our travels.
