Free Range Hog Roast Hurricane in Saltaire near Bingley and Baildon this weekend

The lightening wasn’t a good sign across the Leeds Liverpool canal above Thackley when we were on the way to set up our gazebo on Saturday afternoon in Saltaire.

Other than that the event went down a treat, we filled some bellies with tasty free range pork and the venue had a spacious indoor area where lovely local real ales were rapidly being consumed.

Usually we always cook the pig on site but due to the horrendous weather on this occasion we had to make an exeption to the rule and cook the pig prior to the event and take it down hot, although this wasn’t too much of an issue as we are based within a 5 minute drive of where this Hog Roast event was being held in between Saltaire and Shipley, near Bingley in West Yorkshire.

The reason we do not like this method is that if you are too far away and the pig cools en-route, then is heated up again any leftovers can not be warmed up the next day by the clients or guests as this could raise a health concern.

Anyway thanks again for making us so welcome and all the generous & nice comments that you and your guests made considering the extreme circumstances.
