The Devonshire Arms in Bolton Abbey made the perfect backdrop for the beautiful wedding where we provided outside catering in the form of a cooked and carved hog roast served in sandwiches with freshly pan fried chorizo & fresh garlic canapes in honey and soy.
We were again blessed with the rain leaving and the sun coming out for our outside catering hog roast event in Bolton Abbey between Addingham and Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales leaving a lovely little rainbow behind as a reminder that the showers had passed through before the evening party began. The venue was perfect with a lovely outside bar for the guests to enjoy their drinks, canapes and hog roast sandwiches.
Before the darkness came in and the beautiful day came close to a lovely end.
The beautiful hamlet of Nesfield between Ilkley and Addingham on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales was the venue for The Hog Roasting Company to provide catering in the form of hog roast hire with a tasty free range pig cooked to perfection and served in sandwiches with apricot stuffing and our special dijon mustard apple sauce by our excellent team.
As part of the catering we served a selection of canapes for guests to enjoy while listening to the band and we were finishing roasting the free range pig in our new machine that is also available for hog roast hire on it’s own without the staff if you are interested in serving yourself, making a saving or run a commercial business where you may just want to hire the machine on its own.
The 3 piece band that accompanied us while we cooked and served the Hog Roast near Ilkley and Addingham were great fun, I tried to catch a video of them playing Jungle Books King of the Swingers which you can see in the clip below but unfortunately it didn’t come out quite as well as I’d hoped from my phone and reflect how good and how much fun they were.

Le tour Yorkshire is closing in and we are please to have a host of roasts in and around the local area which are very close to the route.
There seems to be a really good vibe in the area for the arrival of the super fit lycra clad athletes who I am sure will earn a tasty hog roast sandwich for their efforts.
The route passed through a lot of the areas we provide hog roasts to in Yorkshire from the start in Leeds, through Harewood, Pool in Wharfedale, Otley, Burley in Wharfedale, Ilkley, Addingham and Skipton and also into the South Dales where we also supply hog roasts to in areas such as Bolton Abbey, Burnsall and Grassington.
We have our trotters crossed here at the The Hog Roast Roasting Company in the hope for good weather for our Hog Roast at the Spooner Engineering annual cricket match in Addingham near Ilkley, Leeds, West Yorkshire and on the border of the Yorkshire Dales.
Last year in the midst of some hot weather unfortunately a thunder storm brewed up and the heavens opened (twice) which put a bit of a dampener on the Cricket, although the beers were flowing at the bar and Hog Roast went down a treat.
Hopefully this year we will be blessed with a day of sunshine as we have seen so many of over this last few weeks and like these guys are enjoying below at Addingham Cricket Club.
Thanks to everyone at the wedding for their kind words regarding our Hog Roast, we really enjoyed your company and the venue which was in Bolton Abbey near Addingham, Ilkley and Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales where the view was fantastic.
The pig was a real cracker from our preferred local free range farm and it’s a shame how the photo just hasn’t done it justice, just how tasty and succulent it was.
Congratulations again to the happy couple and thanks again for all the kind words from them and their guests who we are looking forwards to seeing again.
At precisely 2pm on Sunday when the Cricket match in Addingham near Ilkley was due to begin we were welcomed with a clap of thunder and lightning to start, or should I say stop proceedings.
Unfortunately the weather never let up, but on the up side there was a bar and a tasty Free range pig in the hog roasting machine sizzling away nicely which was really well received when it came time to serve up.
Thanks again to everyone at the event for welcoming Gareth and Jo from The Hog Roasting Company and all your nice comments and we will look forwards to seeing you again at your next event.
